Mode Lighting designed the first fully dimmable Electronic Convertor for Cold Cathode Lighting in 1994. Since then the range has grown and now includes products covering applications from cornice lighting, signage and theatrical stage lighting. Offering energy efficient operation, smooth dimming and safe operation our convertors have become synonymous with high quality cold cathode installations.

Cold Cathode tubes are usually made to order and as such can be made to any size and shape offering advantages over more traditional light sources such as fluorescent. It is also a high efficiency light source and offers a much lower cost vs light output than LED technologies and therefore still remains the first choice for high brightness cornice and cove details.

The various products in the electronic convertor range are each suited to different applications. Unlike conventional convertors which need to be matched to individual tubes, our electronic convertors can drive varying lengths of cold cathode tubing without the need for complex calculations and thus simplify the specification of cold cathode installations.
